Photo Scanning

We like to keep in touch with our clients from the beginning to end.  When we receive your order form we contact you via e-mail to confirm the process date and we contact you to announce we have received your precious photos.  We then catalogue, and place the photos in an individual sealed container to protect them from dust.  We scan tbe photos, color correct them for you and put them on a CD/DVD. When your order is complete we notify and ship you your original photographs along with your high quality resolution disc(s) and any other media you may have ordered.  

We offer premium scanning services for photos of any size up to 8" x 10".

How it Works

Photo Print Scanning:

For photo scans we use the professional Epson Perfection® 4490 Photo, which delivers an astounding 4800 x 9600 dpi resolution, 48-bit color depth, and 4.0 Dmax, for intricate shadow detail. Combined with Kodak's award winning  DIGITAL ICE™ technology, crisp clear digital images are free of dust and scratches. 

Each scan is reviewed in Adobe Photoshop CS3, where manual adjustments are made in high resulotion TIFF format. The images are rotated, and hand cropped to the edge of the picture.  We make tonal range adjustments, reduce red eye, lighten or darken the picture, improve color balance and shadow enhancement. 

Scanning Prices are based on quantity, resolution - 300 dpi or 600 dpi - and size of photo to be scanned.      

Provided at no extra cost:

  • Images organized in folders
  • Your first set of DVDs (JPEG Images)
  • DVD Slide Show of your scanned images (Does not include music)         
  • We custom label each disc to identify its contents and place each in a slim jewel case. 
  • Free photo gallery hosting of your scanned JPEG images to Snapfish or Shutterfly, where you will be able to share your photos with family and friends and order prints on-line. 

For our clients who would prefer to do their own editing & enhancements in Photoshop or other editing software our Basic Non-Enhanced Scanning is perfect for you.
